The city of North Bend recognizes that certain significant historic resources located within its boundaries contribute to the unique character of the community and are irreplaceable, and as such, merit preservation. This chapter establishes a historic landmark commission; a program for the identification, evaluation, and designation of historic resources as landmarks; public incentives for the preservation of designated landmarks; and land use regulations regarding the alteration, relocation, or demolition of designated landmarks and historic resources of statewide significance.
