Council members are encouraged to attend continuing education opportunities, such as conferences and seminars, which will enhance their skills and knowledge on matters related to local government and governance. To that end, and as funding allows, council members are urged to attend the League of Oregon Cities functions at city expense. As funding allows, the mayor is also encouraged to attend the Oregon Mayors Association function at city expense. Requests to attend other government-related conferences, training seminars, and continuing education opportunities will be presented to the council for approval. (Ord. 2052 § 1, 2021)
