(1) A retail permit terminates automatically on December 31st of each year, unless a permit renewal application is approved.

(2) A retail permit terminates automatically if federal or state statutes, regulations or guidelines are modified, changed, or interpreted in such a way by state or federal law enforcement officials as to prohibit operation of the retailer under this chapter.

(3) A permit renewal application shall include information similar in nature to that provided on the permittee’s initial permit application, including proof that all taxes and fees owed the city are current. The application must be submitted to the city prior to expiration of the prior permit.

(4) At the time of submission of a retail permit renewal application, the permittee must pay a permit renewal application and investigation fee. The fee amount shall be set by council resolution. (Ord. 2045 (Exh. C), 2021; Ord. 2043 § 5, 2020)
